Today is the 25th anniversary of the Great Hanshin Earthquake.

As an old guy like me who has been residing in the Kansai region for long time, I have a clear memory of this event.

Our house shook like hell. It happened in the very early morning when we were in bed. I wasn't able to do anything except to cover my head with futon to protect it. Luckily, the house held intact, but the shake left so much mess in the house!
