Sakura, Hanami
Now is the time! If you are visiting Japan in the next couple of weeks you are likely here to see the cherry blossom. To help you out, I have found a cool map:

It's a very exciting time to be in Japan as everyone is feeling festive, school children are on holiday and it's the beginning of Spring. It's a perfect chance to brush up on your Japanese, too, so here is a new phrase for you.
"平安神宮に行きたいです" (Heian Jingū ni ikitai desu) "I want to go to Heian-jingu Shrine."
In fact, Heian-Jingū shrine is one of the best places in Kyoto to see sakura. Also, consider taking a walk along the Philosopher's trail, south from Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilon). It's a pleasant walk at any time of the year but now is the most exciting.
If you are looking for sakura pictures, please keep an eye on this space as we gather some over the coming weeks for you!
Cheers,
